Runtime version
This handbook matches runtime 0.1.0.
That number is the VN-Mikro player / author kit version — the app you write and build with. It is not the version of your novel.
Runtime vs game version
| Version | Where it lives | Who cares |
|---|---|---|
| Runtime | Author kit MANIFEST.json → runtime_version; debug overlay Meta line (vn-mikro …) | Matching kit, players, and this handbook |
| Game | Your project game.json → version | Stores, changelogs, Build output folder names |
Mixing kits from different runtime versions can break Build targets or behaviour. Prefer one kit; check Meta or MANIFEST.json if something looks off.
Native extensions may set runtime_min so an older player skips a pack that needs a newer kit — extensions.
Where to see it
- Debug overlay (F12) → Meta — starts with
vn-mikroand the runtime version. - Author kit root —
MANIFEST.jsonfieldruntime_version. - This sidebar — the top link shows the same number when the handbook was built for that kit.
